He has grown into quite the handsome little man, and we are so lucky to have such a sweet and smart boy. As I always say, he is learning so much and constantly surprises us with new information he's picked up along the way. He now can identify a large portion of the alphabet (maybe 15 letters?) on a regular basis, and he is using the names of most animals instead of just saying their sound. We also count to ten, although we still leave out a few numbers along the way. He can identify the number 3, but we're still working on two (along with teaching him to respond that he's two when someone asks how old he is).

Keagan loves trains, but I've also noticed a huge obsession with planes. His Papaw bought the movie over Thanksgiving break, and he loved it. Then when we took out his brand new train set on Saturday after his party, he found the plane that was included and hasn't put it down. Do you see it in his hands for our Christmas pictures?

He has such a fun personality! He loves to run and play, and we don't have any trouble dropping him off at the sitter's anymore. He recognizes Santa and will either call him "Santa" or "Ho ho". He's gotten better about understanding the name is "Santa", and then he uses a deep belly sound to say, "Ho, ho, ho!" It's really cute! He also calls for Thomas (the train) and Bob (the tomato) by name.

Keagan is very good at stringing words together and has become a bit of a bossy pants. His newest phrase it to tell people, "Come, sit." He did that a few times while we were out taking pictures. He also frequently says, "No, daddy" or whoever, and he gets very insistent for me to come with him and follow him around the house to do different random things. He has been very clingy for mommy recently, and sometimes he just wants me to hold his hand and walk around the house.

He has finally started getting used to his winter coat and no longer complains that he's "stucked" unless we put on the hood. As much as he loved his summer fedora, he WILL NOT wear the one we bought to go with this outfit. I guess straw hats are the only acceptable kind! Don't know where he would have picked up a beach bum attitude...

I know year two is going to be full of plenty of fun and good times, especially as he gains TWO new cousins and officially loses his "baby" status in both families. I'm just glad that he still enjoys snuggles with mommy on the couch, and I hope that lasts at least a little while longer. He may be a big preschooler now, but he will always be my "baby boy"!
